Prophet Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Church launched an online church app on Sunday.
According to a statement, over 7000 congregants have joined the Major 1 Connect online service platform, which costs R80 a month per subscription.
The decision comes after the country was placed under a nationwide lockdown, which resulted in closing down churches, to prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19.
Bushiri, said: “ECG Church Members and followers across the world became part of the church services through subscribing to Major 1 Connect, an application which helps them joining the video conferencing hosted by Prophet Bushiri in his studios in South Africa.
“The video conference is then broadcasted LIVE on Prophetic Channel TV, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter handle.”
He said they expected over 27 000 people to connect to their online platform daily.
The live broadcasting will be on Monday and Friday Midweek at 8pm, while the Sunday Service will be shown at 10am every Sunday.
