    The Sunday World is looking for a creative, technically astute, news-driven and passionate wordsmith to manage our expanding online offerings. As a Digital Editor, you will not only be responsible for our website and a bouquet of social media platforms, but will also help lead the exciting process of creating a bespoke App. You will also be responsible for managing the team to produce content that resonates and attracts readers.

    • Create, produce and manage high-quality news content (text, images, audio and video)
    • Track and analyse traffic on the website and other platforms
    • Establish collaboration with other team members
    • Supervise layout of images, graphics, videos and other artwork
    • Regularly check and track content
    • Proofread and edit news reports at great speed
    • Produce and present performance reports
    • Keep abreast with latest trends and innovations in news web technology
    • Determine and track important KPIs
    • Work in a multidisciplinary team with professionals such as web designers, advertising executives and photographers to improve content strategy
    • Implement organic and inorganic SEO strategies to improve traffic
    • Use Social Media to drive audience development
    • Observe defamation, copyright and privacy laws of the country

    • Previous working experience as a Digital Editor is advantageous
    • Excellent proofreading, editing and copywriting skills
    • Available portfolio of published work
    • Video-editing skills
    • In-depth knowledge of software such as InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
    • In-depth knowledge of best SEO practices
    • Knowledge of online marketing and SEO tools
    • Knowledge of content management systems
    • Attention to detail
    • Creative thinker with problem-solving skills
    • Team player with good time-management skills
    • Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
    • A degree or diploma in journalism, graphic design or similar relevant field
