10 useful grooming and beauty tips for this winter

Johannesburg – We spoke to Beauty Guru and Spa owner Ilhaam about maintaining your looks during the winter months and he gave us 10 useful grooming and beauty tips because I’m lazy, I always just way get dressed up and go.

Beauty tips:

  • Try creams and not lotions because they are richer.
  • Warm up with warm drinks and not hot showers.
  • Moisturise your heels more often, even sleep with socks on.
  • Wear cotton under your winter clothes
  • Don’t forget to treat your hair which will be damaged by harsh winds.
  • Go to a skincare specialist and get a bespoke personalised skincare plan
  • Do not forget to exfoliate the dead skin cells
  • Hydrate your skin throughout the day with a rich, hydrating moisturiser and facial sprays.
  • Don’t skip your sunscreen because Winter skin is harsh and as damaging to the skin.
  • Wear gloves to protect your hands and nails. Use a moisturising hand cream and cuticle lotion to keep hands soft and beautiful

I love Ilaam’s tips, if you can’t afford a bespoke beauty appointment, just go to a beauty counter, especially Clinique and they will examine and tell you your skin type while recommending products to use.

Don’t forget to pay extra attention to all your exposed areas, so protect those lips, hands, and feet and remember that Vaseline is your friend.

Don’t underestimate freebies, like water!

Drink it and wash in it and follow these tips to glow this winter.

Don’t forget sugar and olive is a great combination when you want to exfoliate and never be scared to ask for Samples from Beauty Counters.
