Acclaimed Nasty C bares his soul in ‘I Love It Here’ documentary

Award-winning rapper Nasty C will open up to the nation about his life in a new documentary titled I Love It Here.

MTV Base announced on social media that the documentary will be aired on the channel at 4.30pm on September 28.

MTV Base is a 24-hour music channel from Paramount Networks EMEAA.

There are three different feeds of MTV Base Africa; for South Africa, west Africa and east Africa, respectively.

“Ivyson Army, stand up. The man who wears his ‘strings and bling’ needs us to buckle up because he’s sharing his life with us and guess what, @nasty_csa ‘I Love It Here’.”

Nasty C released his fifth studio album of the same name as the documentary this month, and shared that he was nervous and excited about it.

Born Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo, the rapper shared that the album is rather personal, and that he felt okay with being vulnerable and expressing his emotions as a new dad.

The 26-year-old rapper, who grew up in Durban, welcomed his first child Olivier with his long-time girlfriend two months ago.

“I have a lot of new things happening in my life, some are good and some are bad. I feel like I’m a whole new person,” he said early in September.

“When you listen to the song Release Me, I speak a lot about letting go of all the other things people know me for.”

He also spoke about being comfortable with who he really is, and who he spends most of his time with.

“Now I have someone to protect and I don’t think my music is going to change just because I now have a family.”

During the launch of the album, it was also announced that Nasty C’s music had reached a milestone of 850-million streams.
