Controversial record label Ambitiouz Entertainment has announced that it is not going anywhere.
This after reports that Ambitiouz Entertainment had shut down due to the record label battling financial woes.
It was alleged that Ambitiouz Entertainment was facing financial turmoil and had allegedly shut down operations at its offices in Rosebank.
The closure of Ambitiouz Entertainment, it is alleged, happened in the past four months.
The reports stated that the situation was so bad that artists left Ambitiouz Entertainment.
With Ambitiouz Entertainment record label owner Kgosi Mahumapelo going through a rough patch, some of his workers were said to have allegedly reported him to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbritration (CCMA).
“Some employees went to the CCMA due to frustration of chasing Kgosi for their salaries, which haven’t been paid since March this year,” according to reports.
“Sometimes, he picks up calls but most days he doesn’t, that is why people decided to go to the CCMA.”
DJ Prudence Sebalo, professionally known as Miss Pru, announced that she had cut ties with Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2022 after seven years with the record label.
In a statement shared on Wednesday, Ambitiouz Entertainment said it is aware of the rumours circulating about its imminent closure.
“To those who have been spreading these tales, we would like to offer a heartfelt nice try,” said Ambitiouz Entertainment in a statement.
“We are saddened to report that if you were hoping for our exit, you’ll have to deal with our fabulousness for at least another decade. We know it’s tough but hang in there.”
Ambitiouz Entertainment also shared that on Friday it would be dropping another announcement that would not only shake but revolutionize the South African music industry.
