Backward ‘no Africans allowed’ nonsense

Backward ‘no Africans allowed’ nonsense

In a jaw-dropping display of backward thinking, our dear friend Gayton McKenzie seems to be illustrating what happens when you leave intellect in prison after a robbery gone wrong.

The former gangster, now masquerading as a minister, is busy stirring up a cauldron of division with his latest job adverts. It appears that, under McKenzie’s watch, the sports, arts, and culture department is more interested in segregating than uniting.

The ads prioritise coloured and Indian individuals over the indigenous African majority. McKenzie believes that this selection process will somehow propel his career or garner favour among his chosen few. Reality check, Gayton: this kind of regressive racial preference is not the way forward.

Instead, it underscores an embarrassing lack of understanding of the very fabric of the society he claims to serve. While the racists might be doing a little dance of joy, the rest of us are left cringing. The echoes of approval from the peanut gallery are deafening, while those with racial biases gleefully dance to the divisive tune he’s orchestrating. Let this be a cautionary tale, McKenzie.

Your attempts to fan the flames of division only serve to reveal your own inadequacies. Perhaps it’s time to hit the books and learn about leadership that truly represents and uplifts all. A little education wouldn’t hurt, now, would it?
