Gaining access to Phala Phala Heritage festival was a nightmare

The annual Phala Phala FM Royal Heritage Festival took place over the weekend and that meant all Joburgers from Limpopo made their way onto the N1. Gossip girl also made her way to see if she could score herself a rich husband from Venda.

Sunscreen SPF 50 was the one needed because how hot can a place get. Pity, there is no beach around there. Shwa was left looking for the nearest community pool just to cool off but there was also none in sight.

Skeem Saam actor Clement Maosais a totally different character when he is back home. Maosa was fortunate enough to be Shwa’s neighbour at the local bed-and-breakfast she was booked in.

In Joburg he is all smiles and well mannered but back home I don’t know whether he gets to actually be the celebrity that he thinks he is.

Why don’t you greet people, Maosa? Anyway, congratulations on that new Range Rover you were driving, Shwa will wait for the announcement on the socials like everyone else.

Back to the festival that took place in Thohoyandou at the Nandoni Dam, Shwa was hoping to actually experience the entire festival and get to see why it is that massive. But Shwa must say though, that the dust and several tedious security checks were just too much for this gossip girl.

Some of the DJ’s sets, which Shwa had no pleasure of seeing, sounded no different from a shuffled play list from Spotify on a free subscription offering.

Makhadzi finally got on stage for her much-anticipated performance, which was around 10pm and at that time Shwa was outside in the dusty parking lot because
people did not want to do their jobs and give the correct accreditation.

Bad management skills I tell you.

Makhadzi, Shwa unfortunately did not get to witness your performance but according to the socials, you were on fire. What was the vision regarding the entrance, did you want to fly or zip line? I guess the inspiration comes from Beyonce and Pabi Cooper.

Shwa also spotted actor and model Joe Kazadi, who looked happy and clearly had the time of his life. Shwa still has a score to settle with you after your stunt last year at an event.

Lethabo LeJoy Mathatho, are you going to wear a jumpsuit and leggings all the time, because we must see your botched up BBL?

Big up to Phandelani Miss “P” Mulaudzi and Siphesihle Vazi for doing such a stellar job on stage. Keep up the good work.
