Mthandeni 1 –Khuzani 0
Shwa remains undecided about the impact of the beef between the two leading maskandi artists in the country – Mthandeni “Dunudunu” Manqele and his nemes is Khuzani “Swelizinyo” Mpungose. After Mthandeni dropped a hit single titled iParis about two months ago, which has been causing havoc on TikTok, Khuzani was not to be outdone.
Swelizinyo released Umjolo Lowo, and it sounds like a repetition of many of his previous songs, zero creativity I tell you!
The fight for the maskandi crown continues, which is good for hype and taking the genre to new heights, but at some point it really must be about the quality of the music. Dunudunu worked his ass off on iParis, only for his song that is fast becoming a national anthem of fun lovers to be compared with the non-starter Umjolo Lowo.
