The warmest city to be last weekend was Durban for the “Out of this World” Durban July.
But Shwa was not too confident it would be hip and happening, especially because of the bad weather prior to the event. But ijob ijob and because the panic of Covid-19 is no more, Shwa expected the party to be jam-packed…. and it was.
Shwa was hosted by Disoufeng, and if you’re not familiar with the brand then you really need to get on with the times and find these hot and happening groove spots in Jozi.
The main event was on Saturday, and I must say to get into the Greyville racecourse was a mission on its own. Next time Shwa might as well take an Uber.
The weather didn’t disappoint as usual but walking around you could just see the evidence of the previous rains – Shwa’s shoes were ruined by the muddy lawns.
You know that feeling of expecting glitz and glamour and public figures roaming around to show off their outfits, well, that was not the case at this year’s event.
Shwa is not sure whether most celebrities snubbed the event because of the weather or was it the theme that just confused them.
