Retired former Mamelodi Sundowns midfield workhorse Tiyani “Sugar” Mabunda has taken his obsession with the fugitive pastor, Shepherd Bushiri, to another level.
Mabunda, who is also Sundowns’ chairman Tlhopi Motsepe’s right-hand man and was a no-nonsense midfielder in his salad days, started as a “Major 1” devotee and praise singer.
He seems to have scored a major transfer move after he was spotted preaching in one of the franchises during Easter. From praise singer to preacher and one day a pastor, perhaps.
