Johannesburg – The Economic Freedom Fighters have gathered in massive numbers in a protest to ‘save’ lives in the midst of a deadly third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
Flouting Covid-19 health and safety protocols as well as government’s alert level 3 lockdown regulations, hundreds of EFF supporters gathered at a protest for a speedup on the vaccine rollout programme.
The EFF marched to SA’s Health Products Regulatory Authority (Sahpra) offices in Pretoria on Friday.
During the hour-long march, Malema staged a sit-down in the middle of the street as part of their protest.

Ramaphosa is vaccinated and does not care about getting the rest of us vaccinated.
We are tired of this government eating money that is meant to save the lives of our people. #MarchToSaveLives pic.twitter.com/BAfilKULHE

We demand that vaccines must be speedily authorized so that we can reopen to fairly, freely and healthily campaign to remove this incompetent and directionless government from office. Restrictions and lockdown are not a mechanism to defeat CORONA. Let’s #MarchToSaveLives! pic.twitter.com/xuj5a3IaMQ

Ramaphosa has dropped the ball on vaccines, but we don't need (CIC) Covid Spreader In Chief, Julius Malema, to make things worse. Stop super-spreader events! ❌
Gauteng has over 70 000 active cases, the EFF's march today is irresponsible and places lives in danger.#VaccineNow pic.twitter.com/92KQyFZlHK
