Actress Letoya Makhene’s estranged wife, Lebo Keswa, has hit back at the thespian, accusing her of failing to deal with the trauma she suffered after being violated by five men, including a relative, on separate occasions.
Keswa said Makhene was advised to seek help after the violation but she refused and is now taking her anger out on her.
Last week, Makhene threw a live snake at Keswa when she alleged on our podcast, Sunday World Engage, that Keswa hated her children and had kicked them out of their home.
She also alleged Keswa was an alcoholic and that she was physically assaulted for talking to her son, who lives with her ex-husband, on the cellphone.
The sultry trouper also alleged that Keswa scalded her with boiling water and then lied to her family that the actress-cum singer inflicted the burn wounds herself to make her look bad.
She also accused Keswa of being a thief who pilfered money from her bank account.
Responding to Makhene’s claims on the podcast, Keswa said her ex-lover was not well and needed to deal with the violation trauma instead of taking it out on her.
Keswa alleged Makhene was first violated by a relative, who was never arrested.
The man, whose name Sunday World knows, was married to a Makhene ‘s family member at the time.
“What happened at the time, according to her, was that the man’s wife was working in Dubai. So the guy and his wife were having problems while she was in Dubai, so he called Letoya to ask her for a meeting to discuss the issues he was having with his wife.
“They went somewhere for a late lunch or early dinner. They met there, and the guy drove her back home after that.
“So he drove her home, parked the car outside her home, and they were talking, and as they were talking, he ripped her pants apart and started violating her,” she said.
Keswa said Makhene did not report the matter to her father or tell anyone else about it.
Keswa also said that when Makhene attacked her last week on the podcast, she took to social media to explain that she is being made a scapegoat for Makhene’s troubles, while the real culprits are living free.
She also added that Makhene was sexually assaulted by four other men who were also never brought to task.
“We kind of made this public at some point using an influencer’s page on Twitter, and we exposed all of these guys.
“One of them is a businessman or an attorney from Pretoria, the other one used to be on Gladiators; and another is a businessman whom she allegedly had an affair with after her second divorce.
“She knew very well that this guy was married, and then according to her, they broke up, but soon after their breakup, his father passed on, and she went to pay her respects, and as she was about to leave, the guy invited her to his house.
“When they got there, she wanted to leave but he stopped her and threatened to kill her by throwing acid at her.
“So, she said he violated her in his bed at night, in his marital bed, and she only left in the morning.”
The names of these men were published on social media last year but they all denied the allegations, she said.
Keswa said she tried to get counselling for the actress numerous times, but it did not work out. “She must find healing from all the pain that those five men installed in her instead of thinking that she can take mphepho and burn it, and their d*cks are going to fall off because of what they did to her. She must see a psychologist,” she said.
Makhene said, “I have spoken my truth, and I will not respond to Lebo repeating herself all over the media. She can go around to all the media houses in South Africa; I won’t be joining her. I chose to leave this marriage, and my only focus right now is my music and my family.”
