Internationally acclaimed musician Bongeziwe Mabandla has poured his heart out in song, about his absent father.
The Black Major artist released the song titled Yise, which loosely translates father, on Friday.
In the song, Mabandla paints a picture of the hardships of growing up without his father and how it has made him a stronger person.
The Ndokulandela hitmaker said he did not realise the pain he felt in his heart till he started writing and recording the track.
“The song looks at the effect that growing up without a father has had on my life. It is a constant journey of understanding the impact that this has had on my journey and I am thankful to have had a chance to explore it on this track. This song is super strong and very personal. It confirms our desires for music without boarders,” he said.
The song is available on YouTube and https://synapson.lnk.to/yise for download and streaming.
