Girlfriend’s pregnant…it’s a girl
Amapiano music maestro Kabza De Small is about to become a daddy. Sunday World can reveal Kabelo Motha is expecting his first daughter with a 24-year-old former journalist.
The young woman, whose name is known to Sunday World, confirmed she was pregnant with the musician’s child and was excited about being a new mom.
“Well, you know that traditionally we are unable to talk about pregnancy issues, which is why I don’t want to comment further.
“But obviously I am excited to be carrying my first daughter,” said the young woman. An insider close to the couple confirmed the couple had been dating for a while and that the pregnancy is four months along.
Motha is popularly known to have hot collaborations with DJ Maphorisa, namely Scorpion Kings and Piano Hub.
Kabza De Small is from Mpumalanga, but grew up and spent most of his time in Pretoria. After releasing his first album, Avenue Sounds, in 2016 under House Afrika Records, he went on to drop hit tracks called Amabele (Shaya) and Umshove, which he performs on various stages
with his amapiano counterpart, Leehleza.
The Amantombazane hitmaker neither confirmed nor denied the pregnancy but referred all media enquiries to his legal adviser Katlego Malatji, who said he was surprised that Sunday World had learnt of this.
“Can you tell me who actually gave you this story? The person who gave you this needs to get a job,” said Malatji.
“Kabza is currently touring in Europe and will be in a position to respond to some questions upon his return.
“It is also important that he be given the privacy to deal with certain matters that require family attention before speaking publicly on them,” said Malatji.
