Former Miss South Africa 2020 second runner-up Natasha Joubert has made it to the Miss SA 2023 top 12 finalists list.
The announcement was made on Thursday evening on Miss SA platforms.
The winner of the competition stands to pocket R1-million in cash, as well as a bouquet of prizes, elevating the competition to one of the richest pageants in the world.
Twenty-five-year-old Joubert from Gauteng represented Gauteng and South Africa in the Miss Universe 2020.
In 2022, the pageant made drastic changes to this year’s rules regarding entrance requirements for those wishing to compete in the pageant.
Previously, married women with children were not allowed to compete for the coveted title, but this year the pageant has pushed the boundaries and allowed such women to take part.
Stephanie Weil, the Miss South Africa Organisation CEO, said this year the organisation has pushed more boundaries than ever before.
