DJ Euphonik has threatened to unleash taxi bosses to kill his baby mama’s male friend, whom he suspects is having a road gig with her.
The shocking details are contained in the court papers submitted in the Joburg high court by the baby mama, in which she is asking a protection order against the music producer par excellence.
Her application for the protection order is part of their ongoing battle over the custody of their two children after they drifted apart last year.
In the court papers, which we have seen, the baby mama, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said Euphonik, whom she dumped after refusing to be his third wife, approached her friend, whose name she did not disclose, and warned him to stay away from her.
This after the music producer, who believes that the baby mama is his wife because he paid lobola for her, suspected she was sowing wild oats behind his back.
“I reminded him that I am not his wife, and we are not in any form of relationship. He is married to (name withheld) and about to have his fourth child with her.
“He has girlfriends… yet he behaves outrageously over his suspicions about one male friend in my life and threatens the friend he suspects that I am dating, even though whether I am or not this has nothing to do with him and would have no effect whatsoever on my ability to parent my children.
“He in fact went as far as to tell my friend that he had better watch out because he “knows taxi bosses” and my friend would find himself no longer living if he does not go far away”, reads the affidavit.
She further said Euphonik did not stop there, saying he also contacted her business partners and relatives and harassed them.
“Also, since these events, his unacceptable conduct towards me and others around me has escalated to the point where I require the protection order mentioned above.
“I attach as a screen shot of messages sent to my business partner. There are similar ones to my parents, my grandparents and friends. I ask this court to read them as if they were included in the body hereof as I submit, they constitute emotional and psychological harm to me and there is no reasonable basis for the respondent to need to send them.
“I ask that an order is granted as set out above and in my notice of motion with regard to his communications with and about me,” reads the affidavit.
The baby mama, who is a top lawyer, also detailed Euphonik’s first domestic violent incident, which she alleged occurred at her rented unit in Joburg between May 9 and 10 last year.
She said the award-winning DJ, who is now plying his trade across the waters, took the children from her house and went to his pad to spend time with them.
She said he later arrived at her house alone instead of bringing the children back to her.
Euphonik, she stated in the papers, started nuzzling her to rekindle their love and fix their disputed union.
She said when she told him to leave as she was not interesting in knowing him in the biblical sense anymore, he refused.
“He refused to heed my rejection of his proposals or to leave, and it was only when I walked away from my unit and to the security gate of the complex and called my sister to fetch me that he got into his car and left.
My landlord and the neighbours complained about the noise,” she said in the papers.
She said when her income improved, she vacated the unit and moved into a much more secured complex. She said because of Euphonik’s persistent attempt to contact and persuade her to go back to his harem, it has now become threatening and therefore, he should be interdicted from having any direct contact with her or with anyone about her.
Euphonik said everything that the baby mama has been saying its a lie. He said he does not know any hitmen.
