Health scare puts brakes on Justin Bieber’s tour of Mzansi

Millions of Justin Bieber’s fans are still nursing a heartache after the American singer scrapped his tour to South Africa due to health concerns.

Bieber wrote on his social media account that he cannot proceed with his world tour after performing only six shows in Brazil, South America at the weekend.

Earlier this year, he opened up about his battle with Ramsay-Hunt syndrome which leaves his face partly paralysed.

“After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realised that I need to make my health a priority, right now. So I am going to take a break from touring for the time being,” wrote Bieber.

His world tour kicked off at Lucca Festival in Italy on July 31. The long-awaited and much-anticipated concerts in South Africa were scheduled to take place at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on September 28.

The Cape Town leg would have been followed by his performance at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on October 1.
