Relax, public can relate to C’s new face and voice

Recently yours in gossip was invited to some posh event by C, where they were going to announce the new face and voice of the brand. I must say, though, that Shwa got the scare of her life when the GPS took her to an area close to Alex, but then again, I remembered that I’m from the ghetto, so I was fine.

You’re probably thinking, who still relaxes their hair in 2024? Woke as Shwa is, her hair is relaxed, darling.

Now the first person that moi saw was former ‘it’ girl Nonhle Thema, and for a split-second Shwa thought she’d been tricked into attending one of her manifestation classes. Lord knows what she says in those but luckily for me, she was there as an MC and to hand over the baton to the new brand ambassador.

Oh, but she still looks stunning, I guess black really doesn’t crack!

Moi may never have guessed that the new brand ambassador is actress and voiceover artist Wendy Gumede. Not because she doesn’t deserve it but because for the very first time, a brand worked with a person that the public relates to.

I don’t want to get started with the influencers they chose to use, Shwa is rebranding.

Wendy delivered such a beautiful acceptance speech; we were all emotional but her content creator boyfriend (Muchi) was beyond proud.

The girl is not only hilarious, but she is also beautiful and smart too. She said she would be the voice of the market and challenge the status quo when it comes to relaxed hair. All Shwa is saying is, Wendy, we will be waiting, girl.

Bathong, how gorgeous is influencer Amanda Jingela? She is a stunning yummy mommy. I don’t know what she was trying to do with Durban-based rapper, Saso. As a woman, you do not waste your energy trying to make a man who’s into hip-hop a family man, ask Lootlove. Saso last had anything good going on in his life when he was in Dreamteam. Does that group even still exist?

Anyway, as the event went on, I spotted bundu housewife Asavela Mqokiyana. Moi thought she was busy with her makoti schedule and feeding chickens in Eastern Cape. Turns out I was wrong. That hairstyle though, makoti? Maybe it’s the one in Bizana; definitely not in Jozi.

Is Larona Moagi still acting or that was a once-off thing when she played Itumeleng on The River?

Shwa saw her strutting the runway when models were showcasing the different hairstyles. Sisi, decide, are you acting or modelling?
