Amapiano musician Tumelo Zwane, popularly known by his stage name Sir Trill, disputes claims that he is heartbroken or sad.
This comes after Sir Trill went live on Instagram a few days ago to talk about the struggles he is facing in the music industry.
He revealed on Instagram Live that, despite jumping on their albums and giving them the most popular songs, some artists refused to work with him.
“Every time I drop new music, someone mutes it,” he said.
Gatekeepers in the industry
He then played DJ Stokie’s Soke S’bone, which features Loxion Deep, Sir Trill, Nobantu, and Murumba Pitch.
“I’m going to play you artists I was on their albums; I had the best songs on their albums, I helped them out. But they are not on my albums.”
He also spoke about the gatekeepers in the amapiano music genre, claiming that they have tried to sabotage his music.
According to Sir Trill, the reason he has not been putting out a lot of music lately is because he feels discouraged.
He said: “I just got discouraged because I come into the game with a pure heart; I’m trying to help everybody.
“Even the big brothers. When I got in, everybody was quiet. But when everybody asked for my help, I helped.”
Popular musician leaked my songs
He went on to say that an artist with a huge reputation leaked his music.
“Somebody they trust and love leaked all of my songs. Why? Now, because I am quiet, I get the end of it.”
On Wednesday, he took to his Instagram Stories to share that there is no need for a pity party, stating that he is fine.
“I’m alright,” said Sir Trill.
“I was just clearing up what almost everybody asks when they see me. Again, I’m not sad or heartbroken. Lol [laugh out loud], no time for that; last time speaking on it, let’s move.”
