Influencer and club host Inno Morolong is expected to appear before the Randburg magistrate’s court after she violated a restraining order that Tebogo Thobejane issued against her.
Morolong and Thobejane’s beef surfaced in 2022 when Thobejane filed a half a million rand defamation lawsuit against Morolong at the Johannesburg High Court.
Morolong took to social media on March 24, 2022 and accused Thobejane of being a “sex worker” and “sleeping with the president”.
Hurtful allegations of prostitution
Morolong, said Thobejane, also claimed that she was “a loose woman who sells her body to make money” and that she slept with 20 other men without protection.
At the beginning of 2023, Morolong endangered Thobejane’s life when she shared her phone number and home address.
Fearing for her life, she took Morolong to court, and she was granted the protection order. However, after seeing that Morolong didn’t change after the court ruled in her favour, Thobejane fled the country with her son.
In June, a warrant of arrest was issued after Morolong allegedly violated Thobejane’s protection order. Morolong’s utterances were provided as evidence after she trolled Thobejane and threw major shade at her.
Fearing for her life
Thobejane at the time told Sunday World that she was fearing for her life and was living with extreme stress. Her anxiety peaked after her car was shot at. She added that the matter has now taken a toll on her mental health.
This came after Thobejane’s car was shot at by unknown attackers. A friend she was travelling with is still fighting for her life in hospital.
Sunday World reached out to Thobejane regarding Morolong’s arrest. She stated that Morolong was intimidating her and taunting her. Thobejane said this happened while they were in court for the ongoing trial.
“She is not remorseful at all and she continues to bully me. [Morolong] is relentless in her bullying antics. I am so tired of Inno; honestly, she is a horror movie,” said Thobejane.
