JUST IN: Popular rapper Shebeshxt discharged from hospital

Katlego “Shebeshxt” Chauke, the popular and controversial rapper from Limpopo, has been discharged from the hospital.

The Monateng hitmaker was released from the hospital on Tuesday and is said to be working on a full recovery at home.

His lawyer and family spokesperson, Lot Ramusi, told Sunday World that the rapper is still in a fragile state but that he is positive.

“He is out of the hospital. He was discharged yesterday. He is recovering at home, and he is getting better,” Ramusi said.

Fatal car accident

He added that the singer is coming to terms with the tragedy that befell his family.

Shebeshxt survived a fatal car accident in Limpopo two weeks ago, which claimed the life of his nine-year-old daughter.

The rapper was travelling to his girlfriend’s home, where he was going to drop her and his daughter off, before making his way to an ANC Siyanqoba rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo when his vehicle collided with a truck.

Ramusi said: “He is coming to terms with everything. He was obviously shaken by everything, but he is slowly coming to terms with the situation.”

Ramusi added that it was not yet clear if the rapper would be able to attend a court case in Lebowakgomo, where he was scheduled to show up for a case that was opened against him in 2022.

He said the muso’s physical state would direct them closer to the date.

Out on bail for stabbing incident

According to the National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson in Limpopo, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, Shebeshxt is currently out on bail and will be in court for trial.

“The matter is set down for plea and trial on July 11 at Lebowakgomo regional court D,” Malabi-Dzhangi said.

Malabi-Dzhangi previously told Sunday World that a case was opened against Shebeshxt after he allegedly stabbed a man in Lebowakgomo.
