Londie London’s ex-lover Mabonga threatens to assault MacG

Media personality Londie London’s ex-boyfriend, Sphamandla Mabonga, allegedly threatened to hit popular podcaster MacG for talking about him.

Mabonga “threatened” to rearrange the podcaster’s face with fists after he talked about him on Podcast and Chill with MacG last week.

The podcast is featured on MacG’s YouTube channel.

MacG, real name Macgyver Mukwevho, allegedly tried to open a case of intimidation against Mabonga at the Sandton police station but was referred to the Wynberg cop shop, where the businessman is being investigated for another case.

Speaking to Sunday World on Tuesday, Mabonga said he has no intention of harming MacG, saying he just wanted to warn him to refrain from talking about him on the show.

I am capable of hitting people

“I just told him not to put my name in his things. I told him that I am capable of hitting people, so he must not do that. He must get my name out of his YouTube things,” Mabonga said.

Mabonga hogged the spotlight in 2023 as the new man in former Real Housewives of Durban star Londie London’s life following her nasty split from the father of her children.

Mabonga and Londie London were popular for hitting the red carpet together.

He also gifted her with two luxury cars, including a BMW. She also did not hold back, as she spoiled him with gifts, including guns, for his birthday in 2023.

Nightclub shooting incident

The businessman, who has since broken up with Londie London, has been making headlines once again this year following a shooting incident at a Johannesburg nightclub, where he was wounded.

Mabonga was arrested and is currently out on R1 000 bail.

Mabonga said, following his break-up with Londie London, he requires peace to deal with his matters away from the media because he is not a celebrity.

“Londie London and I are cool. We do talk, but we are not dating anymore. I really want you guys to stop talking about me,” he said at the time.

“I am no celebrity; I am just a businessman, and being in the media all the time is putting me on bad terms with my people.”

MacG was not immediately available to comment on the matter.

Putting the matter to rest

A conversation between Mabonga and the podcaster, which Sunday World has seen, shows that the two men have smoked the peace pipe.

“I don’t want any problems with you, Bafo [my brother]. I will never speak about you,” he said.

MacG is the host of the largest podcast in Africa, alongside his co-hosts Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady.

The channel has over 1.2-million subscribers and boasts a huge following on social media networks and trends every week as a result of celebrity interviews conducted on the show.
