Celebrity make-up artist and influencer Lungile Thabethe has finally shared the news of her pregnancy. Thabethe, who is the sister of actress Ayanda Thabethe, managed to hide her pregnancy for some time, but there were media reports in February that she was keeping the news a secret.
Thabethe and her boyfriend, DJ Speedsta, real name Lesego Nkaiseng have kept their relationship private.
On Friday, she took to her social media account to share a cute video of her pregnancy reveal. She shared how excited she is for motherhood.
“The Bible says that motherhood is a blessing, ordained by God, full of hope, full of joy, an unfading beauty. A high calling, worthy of honor, worthy of praise. I thank God for my greatest gift of all,” she wrote.
Earlier this year, she opened up about her weight-loss journey after struggling with shedding her teenage weight for years.
She opened up about going under the knife and doing gastric sleeve surgery in Turkey last year.
“My sister had volunteered to travel with me. But unfortunately, she couldn’t, because she was seven months pregnant at the time. I would always stay around 80-85kg, nothing more than that. Over the 2021-2023 period, I skyrocketed all the way to 103.5kg. And for reference, I am 159 cm tall. I have a very short frame to carry so much weight,” she said.
“I started at 103.5kg, and I am currently at 75.6kg. That is a massive amount of weight to lose in such a small amount of time. The total cost of the procedure was about R60,000. I had to put down a deposit of R6,000. The flights were around R40,000 to R50,000, this depends on how you prefer to fly,” she said at the time.
