Renowned artist L’vovo Derrango, born Thokozani Ndlovu, has pulled out of the Cotton Fest event scheduled to take place in Durban at the weekend.
In a statement shared on his social media pages, L’vovo said he has had the toughest time in the past few months, noting that he, however, has received support from fans, family and friends.
However, he said, his engagement with his doctor has led to him pulling out of the event.
The musician suffered a minor stroke and was admitted to the hospital in December, around the same time that his late friend Mampintsha had passed on due to a stroke.
“I’m sorry to announce that after lengthy discussions we have taken a decision to not perform at the Cotton Fest this coming weekend,” he said in a statement.
“My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. I hope to partake in the festival in the near future when I have fully recovered.”
