Miss SA Natasha Joubert expands her business venture

Reigning Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert has expanded her business venture by collaborating with the MoFaya energy drink business.

The energy drink was founded by DJ Sbu, born Sibusiso Leope, and Siphiwe Shongwe.

Joubert has since launched the Berry Queen-flavoured energy drink under the MoFaya energy drink brand.

Her’s is a sugar-free MoFaya, pink-coloured and berry-flavoured sparkling drink for all people watching over their sugar diet.

Crown Chasers

The partnership was forged by the Miss South Africa series Crown Chasers, which zoomed into the lives of pageant contestants as they were preparing for the finale.

In her series of wins, the BCom Marketing Management graduate was also the winner of Down to Business, where the contestants were challenged to develop business plans and marketing strategies for their innovative energy drinks.

It was during this time that she forged a relationship with MoFaya, a black-owned energy drink that has penetrated the market through small and big retailers.

“I am so excited for this incredible product to hit the shelves, it really allowed me to use my creative side and ignite my mind,” said Joubert.

“The tin is feminine and eye-catching, and the flavour is delicious. The product is amazing and I cannot wait for South African’s to taste it.”

She gave the can a pink, white and gold look to add to its feminine feel.

Natasha Joubertt added that as Queen Berry gets ready to hit the shelves, a percentage of sales will go into her Miss South Africa campaign that aims to make education accessible to all South Africans.

Natalia Jefferys

The beauty queen is also the owner and fashion designer for Natalia Jefferys, which she has been pushing to grow since it was introduced in 2016 when she was 19.

Jefferys runs the all-female couture business with her mother and has showcased some of her own designs on #DestinyDesigned, which used the Miss Universe South Africa platform for exposure.

“Young girls started to admire my handmade garments and asked if I could start making outfits for them as well, and Natalia Jefferys was born.

“I now want to help other designers on their journeys.”

Leope said they are excited to continuously witness the growth of the brand and accommodating various people with different dietary requirements and taste preferences.

“We have always wanted our story to ignite passion and inspire those who have started to empower themselves, and those who are thinking of starting a business,” said Leope.

“What better than our reigning queen – who is a champion of both education and entrepreneurship – to come on board and inspire others.”
