Controversial music exec Nota Nhlamulo Baloyi and his estranged wife, Gugulethu Khumalo, professionally known as Berita, have officially ended their marriage.
Separation from husband
In 2022, Berita revealed that she had separated from her then-partner, Nota Baloyi, after a year of marriage. She took to her X timeline to pen an apology to YouTuber Mihlali after Nota had made nasty comments about her.
Berita revealed that she had left her marital home in January 2022 and suggested that Nota’s alleged mental health issues had taken a toll on their union.
After a nasty back-and-forth about their breakup and Nota playing the blame game, he revealed on Wednesday that he was going to court to finalise his divorce from Berita.
Nota took to his social media accounts to celebrate that he managed to get half of his assets and lost nothing in the process.

In an interview with Kaya959 in February last year, Berita said she had vivid memories of the day she left her marriage. She had to call a therapist that day. She said it was then that she had discovered she was in a narcissistically abusive relationship with her estranged husband, Nota Baloyi.
Abusive relationship
“I spent an hour and a-half telling him exactly what was going on in the relationship, and the entire time I thought it was rage. This is someone who is going through stuff. The day I learned that I was in an abusive relationship, I did not stay one minute and made plans to get out of there,” she said.
She recalled that on the day she left, she booked herself into a Bed and Breakfast and never returned to her marital home.
“When we were dating and when we first got married, I only really started to see the signs of what was going on and that I was in too deep. On December 21 2021 was the day I stopped loving him and had to break loose.”
