Televangelist pastor Enoch Phiri allegedly found out that his girlfriend, prophetess Thuli Shenxane, is married to another man just when he was preparing to marry her.
Phiri had to call police and complex security to rescue him at his Waterfall apartment after Shenxane gained access to his apartment and locked him out on Monday.
Shenxane allegedly put on a show in front of eyewitnesses when she refused to open and instead allegedly stuffed the keys inside her pants and dared the men to touch her.
“She was not having it, she caused drama and threw the keys inside her pants and told the police to fetch it,” said an eyewitness.
“She knew they are not allowed to touch her, it is an offence.”
Speaking to Sunday World on Tuesday, the AmaBishop presenter said he was broken and regrets missing the signs when people tried to warn him about Shenxane.
“I don’t know if I am fine. She hijacked my plans, I would never speak ill of any woman but we are not fine,” Phiri said.
“She just locked me from outside my house. I called the police, they came. Complex security was also there. It was so embarrassing.”
Phiri, who is a public speaker, TV presenter and pastor at Restoration House Ministries in Soweto, started dating Shenxane after meeting her on his way to Ingoma Awards in 2022.
He broke up with her after finding out that she was married to another man. However, he said, Shenxane refused to be dumped and showed up at his place this week unannounced.
“She is a married woman. I have nothing to hide, I am a man of God. I liked her but a lot of lies were there,” Phiri said.
“I have two daughters, so I can’t speak any ill about women. I won’t go into details, but I saw articles written about her and I asked her, she denied everything.”
In July, Sunday World reported that the televangelist caused heartbreak when he allegedly snatched Shenxane from a prominent Limpopo doctor known as Dr Thabang.
Phiri said he quizzed Shenxane about the men who were allegedly in her life but she denied any knowledge of such.
“My daughter came to me with this information. I am so broken. I wanted to commit my life to her.
“People warned me about her being married and as pastor that is a crime. She did not even think about that, she just denied everything,” he said.
Phiri added that Shenxane showed signs of insecurity when she accessed his phone without permission on Monday and posted pictures of herself on social media, as well as call women on his contact lists.
“Now I look like I am the crazy one. I confronted her and she started cursing, saying that I am entertaining other women.”
The relationship brought a glimmer of hope for the pastor who was fresh from a divorce from his wife of 19 years.
Shenxane denied that the pair has broken up, insisting that she is still in a relationship with Phiri.
She said her name has always been dragged through the mud with news that she is married, which she also denied.
