Popular traditional healer Gogo Skhotheni will be debuting her new-found DJ career at her first gig at the weekend.
Born Patricia Tumi Motsoeng, the reality TV star rose to fame when she appeared on her show Gogo Skhotheni on Moja Love.
The show follows her as she embraces her life and journey as a young traditional healer.
Gogo Skhotheni also wears many hats and is a businesswoman selling her cosmetics brand made of herbs.
Six months ago, she decided to ride the podcasting wave and started The Venting Podcast With Gogo Shtheni and Romeo Khumalo.
Recently, she has documented her journey on perfecting her deejaying skill at a music academy, saying although she is still learning about the craft, she has been enjoying every minute of it.
Gogo Skhotheni the DJ will make her debut at a gig scheduled to take place in Mpumalanga this weekend.
Gogo Skhotheni joins other South African celebrities who have ventured into the music industry as DJ’s.
“Allow me to reintroduce myself,” she wrote.
In 2022, the 30-year-old mother of six made headlines after she revealed on her show that she wanted a second husband.
Practising polyandry
In an interview with Sunday World, she said she was proudly practising polyandry and that there were possibilities of her getting a third and fourth husbands.
She also shared details about her journey into becoming a traditional healer at a young age.
“I was chosen by my ancestors at the age of 20, I did not believe in any of what I do today,” she said at the time.
“I was a staunch Christian, so when I would dream of beads and rivers, I would pray or report to my pastor until I realised that it was not demons, but I had a calling.”
