Proud award-winning Miss Pru bags third graduation belt

Award-winning DJ Prudence Sebalo, professionally known as Miss Pru, has bagged her third graduation belt.

Taking to social media this week, Miss Pru shared a video that captured glorious moments from her graduation day.

The DJ also penned a message, reflecting on her academic journey.

“What a journey. I remember being on the road traveling to events while doing some assignments and submitting just before I’d have to work, lol [laugh out loud],” she wrote.

“I’d sometimes be writing an exam after arriving from long trips, yoh. It got wild sometimes, but quitting was not an option, even though it would’ve been easier to do.”

She stated that she is still interested to further her studies, although the education journey does not come cheap.

“Education is so expensive, but it is worth it. If you get an opportunity to study, go for it,” advised Miss Pru.

In November 2022, Miss Pru said she had cut ties with her record label Ambitious Entertainment, sharing on social media that she left the stable after seven years.

She told her followers how her stay had been an incredible journey, and how she had grown as an artist with the help of Ambitious Entertainment.

She had also taken a break from music to redefine her artistic expression.

Miss Pru started her career as a radio presenter on TransAfrica radio station before working for other stations including Touch HD, Radio Rhythms, and Cliff Central.

In 2015, she released her debut single Welele, which was followed by many hit songs including Isaga Lam in 2018, Ugesi in 2017, Wena Wedwa in 2017, Miss Pru Phumelela (2017), and Miss Pru Ameni featuring Emtee.

She has won numerous awards including the South African Music Awards (Samas) for Best Music Video category at the 23rd edition of the Samas.
