‘RHOD’ star slaps cast member with legal action for ‘defamation’

  • The on-screen animosity between Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) stars Ameigh Thompson and Zama Ngcobo has reached fever pitch.    The two media personalities have taken their hatred for one another up a notch and escalated it to legal action.
  •   Following a heated season-four finale that aired on Wednesday, Thompson slapped Ngcobo with a letter of demand following what she calls defamatory remarks made on social media.
  •   In a letter of demand sent to Ngcobo by Thompson’s lawyers a week ago, the new reality television show member was given until the weekend to retract statements made against her co-star and apologise for defaming her.    The letter reads: “We demanded that you remove all social media posts related to Ameigh and her children.
  • We have noted that you have not removed the posts from the Twitter platform, also known as X.
  •   “My client hereby demands that you urgently remove all related posts and/or content from social media platforms within 24 hours and make a public apology.” Letter of demand ignored However, a defiant Ngcobo ignored the letter of demand and continued with business as usual on her social media pages.
