It’s been an eventful year for many South African celebrities but Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies has had a hectic one.
Jantjies faced drama both on and off the rugby field this year starting off when he allegedly damaged property and contravening the Civil Aviation Act after his return flight from Dubai. The case against him was, however, provisionally withdrawn.
The 32-year-old then found himself in the middle of an alleged cheating scandal with the Springboks team dietician Zeenat Simjee. Simjee, however, is hell bent that the affair never happened.
But Jantjies later admitted to his wife that he was indeed rolling in the hay with Simjee.
According to reports, his wife has confirmed to a local publication that her divorce from the rugby player would be finalized after the festive season. This despite their recent loved up pictures.
Jantjies has now joined a new rugby club, Agen in France. He has shared that he is focused on his current spot in Agen and hopes to return to the Springbok squad next year.
