Rapper and songwriter and singer Sho Madjozi have been unveiled as part of the panel of judges for a new singing competition, uShuni Womhlaba.
The two will also be joined by veteran Maskandi singer Phuzekhemisi and award-winning singer Msaki on the panel.
The show revealed its judges on Friday in a statement. It said the musicians will bring a blend of expertise to balance the mix of musicality, performance and technicality required.
“The show will feature seasoned judges whose composite musical journeys have had tremendous impact on the South African music scene. From legendary to internationally acclaimed.
“This ensemble will journey with the contestants in growing their artistry. It will help them through different stages of the competition. This as they navigate their way throughout the weeks,” the statement read.

Ukhozi FM’s Mandla “Njinji Wami” Magwaza and Metro FM’s Mpumi Mlambo, will host the show. It will be broadcast on SABC 1.
A total of 40 talented contestants will be selected through regional and online auditions. The show is meant to open up opportunities for aspiring musicians across the country.
