The year 2023 has proven to be filled with blessings for Metro FM radio personality Khutso Theledi.
Theledi, who presents a weekday midmorning show on Metro FM, has won three awards in the last three months.
From a young age, Khutso Theledi demonstrated a deep passion for radio, with dreams of entertaining and connecting with audiences through her voice.
This year is her 11th year in the industry.
Her rise to fame in the broadcasting space came when she joined Y, formerly known as YFM in 2012, where she quickly became a household name.
She joined Metro FM in 2022 and co-hosted the breakfast show with Mo Flava, but was quickly later moved to the 9am-12pm slot.
Presenter of the Year
In August, Khutso Theledi bagged her first award when she was named Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards.
A second award followed in October at the South African Social Media Awards, where she won in the Social Media Radio Programme of the Year category.
This week, Theledi scooped a third award at the Africa Tech Festival Awards held in Cape Town. She walked away with the Radio Broadcaster award.
Expressing her gratitude on her Instagram account, she wrote: “My heart is racing, and I’m genuinely humbled. I can’t even find the words to express how good God is.
“The gratitude my heart, mind, soul, and spirit are carrying is just beyond me. We’ve just been blessed with our third award – not one, not two, but three awards in seven months.
“Eleven years defined by these powerful moments.”
In April, Khutso Theledi announced that she was officially off the dating market, noting that she was engaged to be married to her partner of four years.
The announcement was made in a sleek video on her Instagram account.
At the time, she said she was still soaking in the news.
“I am his and he is mine. Does the ring make me look engaged? Cause I’m honestly still taking it all in,” she wrote.
