Vusi Nova’s new label to provide ‘nurturing’ haven for artists

Media personality and musician, Vusi Nova, has announced his decision to part ways with Muthaland, after what he called “an extraordinary journey of artistic growth and collaboration”.

By establishing his own record label, Nova Sounds, he is embarking on a new and exciting chapter in his career.

He explained that Nova Sounds aims to redefine the music landscape by providing a nurturing environment that allows artists to express themselves authentically.

He said he achieved remarkable success during his time with Muthaland, delivering electrifying performances that have captured the attention of audiences at large.

Nova Sounds is the result of Vusi Nova’s commitment to artistic integrity and his desire to discover and hone emerging talent in the music industry.

“I couldn’t be more grateful to Muthaland for the journey we have shared together. They have been an essential part of my growth as an artist. With 2023 marking a decade since the release of my breakout album, I see it befitting that I explore other avenues in the industry,” he said.

He has released a new single Soze Ndixole featuring two artists under his new record label.

He said the song is very deep and speaks about losing their parents.

Vusi Nova was also selected as the Western Cape choirmaster for Clash of the Choirs. He said the experience was both stressful and exciting.

He believes that the competition is more about the choir masters, and he believes his choir is going to walk away with the gong.

“Being part of the competition means a lot because I get to share my experience in music with the younger people out there. I have always been big on helping up-and-coming artists,” said Nova.
