More info:

Ntshabo Lehong is the founder of m-Temp, an opportunity- and talent-matching platform that works through WhatsApp and was built for the hospitality and tourism industry. According to Lehong, tourism is one of the largest job creators, yet it’s highly underserviced, especially for skilled and unskilled level workers. “With m-Temp, the goal is to create access to opportunities in underserved communities. This is why the decision was made to build within the WhatsApp environment as the most used app within the country and the rest of the continent,” she narrates. Being in travel and tourism opens up the mind, says Lehong, because it allows one to engage with different people. Lehong was named one of the 20 entrepreneurs selected as beneficiaries of the Tourism Technology Grassroots Innovation and Incubation Programme by the Department of Tourism and the Technology Innovation Agency. According to her, this programme allowed her to build m-Temp into what it is today. She also entered the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge and was the only nominated representative for the SADC region who was shortlisted and subsequently made it to the Top-three out of over 100 entrants on the continent for 2023.
