Enthusiastic teacher, Pheladi Mangwale is passionate about imparting reading, writing and robotics to her foundation phase learners. The teacher at The Dikobo Primary School in the Waterberg district in Limpopo also teaches coding. Mangwale has also launched a YouTube channel where she shares all her expertise with other teachers, mostly on how to integrate ICT into regular teaching and learning, as well as how to teach youngsters reading and writing. It is, therefore, no wonder she is chairperson at her school, Waterberg’s ICT coordinator and the newest member of the school management team. Her zeal and passion saw her compete in the National Teaching Awards, demonstrating her abilities in teaching and learning. She was also named an ICT champion and received funds to attend a short course in Integrating ICT at the University of Witwatersrand. The South African Democratic Teachers Union also recognised Mangwale for having the capacity and expertise to educate other teachers unplugged and plugged coding and robotics.
