Boitumelo Siwela is an admitted attorney based in Johannesburg. She is also a notary public of the High Court of South Africa, a law lecturer and the founder of JS Legal Exclusives. She engages, challenges, and inspires growth in her students and does not only limit such growth to lecture sessions. Siwela holds a BA (Law) and LLB degree, both obtained cum laude, and a Master's in Tax Law, from the University of Johannesburg. She also holds a Master's degree in business and commercial law from the University of Witwatersrand.  Siwela has published various legal articles on topics such as the regulation of crypto assets. She’s currently the Africa region legal counsel at Ernst & Young, where she is actively providing insightful legal expertise in the tax service line while ensuring adherence to regional and global regulations. Siwela began her journey in academia as a law library tutor for the Introduction to Law module at the University of Johannesburg. Her passion for academia expands beyond educational norms and stereotypes as she constantly strives to apply her aptitudes, innovative ideas and legal expertise obtained from her extensive legal experience.
