Beyond her various professional accolades, Marcia Monareng is committed to creating opportunities for unemployed youth, nurturing their skills and potential. Every Thursday, they distribute food to community members, ensuring basic needs are met and fostering a sense of unity and support. As someone deeply embedded in community service initiatives and social entrepreneurship, she believes that community efforts play a pivotal role in South Africa's ongoing journey towards social cohesion, upliftment, and empowerment. “One of my most significant accomplishments in my career is the establishment of several impactful community initiatives in my hometown. Notably, I spearheaded the creation of the first-ever community library, providing accessible learning resources for residents. Additionally, I initiated the launch of a community garden, promoting sustainability and healthy living among locals,” she says. Monareng is also the founder and CEO of Millennial Mindset Media, a digital agency focused on empowering youth through innovative marketing. With a background in media, psychology, and UI design, she has worked with top companies like DStv and Bayer, driving successful digital campaigns. Her passion for digital transformation stems from her upbringing in a family of entrepreneurs, prompting her to found Millennial Mindset Media in 2017. “What drives my passion for the industry I work in is helping brands thrive online and changing lives by providing digital skills and opportunities,” she says, adding that her company has won an award at the South African Social Media Awards, and was also named a finalist for Standard Bank's Top Women Leaders.
