Trade Marketer – MTN Central Region
It’s not all the time that one’s creative passion blends into their professional aptitude. One such case is Moey Mohapi, an all-rounded marketing professional, branding enthusiast, presenter, content creator and facilitator. Mohapi works as a Trade Marketer at MTN’s central region that covers the Free State, North West and Northern Cape. Her work experience also includes being a marketing operations manager at Sun International. Mohapi started speaking in primary school when her teacher identified her talent and developed it. “From then on, the stage was my playground, I continued speaking as a public speaker and debater in school, to later where I became a radio host, online TV host, panel moderator, and motivational speaker,” she recounts. Mohapi runs her own public speaking and personal branding academy, through which she trains young professionals and entrepreneurs to communicate effectively. Counted among her accomplishments are collaborating with Coca-Cola for the Coke Splash Festival, being named among the Free State Premier’s Top 50 Most Inspirational Youth, directing and co-producing her own show on Free State Online, as well as being a radio host for City Radio, CUT FM and Motheo FM respectively. To Mohapi, the fact that SA is celebrating its 30th anniversary as a democratic country is proof of the hard labour of previous generations. “South Africans have so much to be proud of, our resilience and tenacity have allowed us to get to 30 years, where we boldly step into courtrooms, forums and boardrooms; to fight for equality in the greater world. I encourage the creative sector to keep their authentic voices loud and proud.”
