More info:

Phakamani Ndlovu is the founder and managing director of Phakamani Empowerment. Through the company, established in 2011, Ndlovu channels his passion into transformative initiatives. The agency specialises in social behaviour change communication, self-esteem campaigns, and skills development training. Collaborations with governmental bodies and healthcare institutions emphasise their dedication to community welfare. His career commenced in 2008 at Sethani Centre, where he spearheaded youth training programmes and travelled to Australia in 2010. Over the years, he has held roles such as social behaviour change communication advisor, radio presenter and MC. Ndlovu’s accomplishments range from successful community health campaigns to partnerships with key organisations like PACMED, MMashela Health, AMG and THINK. His initiatives have facilitated the recruitment and circumcision of thousands of men, tackling crucial health issues head-on. As South Africa commemorates 30 years of democracy, Ndlovu highlights the pivotal role of youth-led businesses in driving economic growth and innovation. He acknowledges government support through institutions like NYDA and SEDA while advocating for further facilitation, particularly in rural areas. “I wish the government could loosen up a bit on the requirements for us in the rural areas when it comes to business support from the abovementioned institution, as currently there are a lot of red flags,” he says.
