A leader with great vision, Zinhle Ndlovu has embarked on a journey of helping others in her community. Her daily mandate is to bring change to the community that she lives in. Ndlovu is currently working on implementing an aftercare programme for recovering drug users, which will help curb the rising rate of substance disorder. She is also a motivational speaker, leveraging social media to build resilient and transformed minds. In 2022, Ndlovu was nominated for Fabulous Women and the Young Leaders Connect leadership awards, sponsored by Standard Bank and the International Women’s Forum South Africa respectively. These awards recognise the contribution made by women in their communities. Ndlovu has also participated at the 2023 BRICS Summit as an associate member representing South Africa, and was selected for the BRICS Future Skills Challenge aimed at finding solutions to energy, water and health problems faced by BRICS nations. Again, the 2024 Sunday World Unsung Hero represented South Africa at the 2023 World Bank Summit 2023. With SA marking 30 years of freedom, Ndlovu emphasises that everything rises and falls on leadership. “South Africa needs leaders who are passionate about transformation, leaders who put people first and have the country’s issues at the forefront of their agenda. We need a paradigm shift in African leadership. I believe I am one of those leaders who can contribute to a greater South Africa,” she remarks.
