As we celebrate during the month of August, we should remember that Women’s Month initiatives should be inclusive and diverse, ideally directed at the most vulnerable groups of women and girls. It defeats the purpose of the month to commemorate it with breakfasts and luncheons when the empowered top 1% of women are wined and dined at the exclusion of other women.
