More info:

I t’s astounding how Buyisiwe Khumalo, 33, from Umthwalume, KwaZulu-Natal south coast, runs four organisations all at the same time. Khumalo, who lives in Avoca Hill, Durban, is the founder of the Buyi Khumalo Foundation and Buyi Khumalo Business and Project Development Consultancy. She also co-founded Isibani Educational Empowerment and SoulMe Movement. Her foundation provides career guidance tours to rural and township schools, extra and Saturday classes for learners, mentorship programmes and job shadowing programmes among other initiatives. The Buyi Khumalo and Buyi Khumalo Business and Project Development Consultancy specialise in social enterprise development, skills development training, strategic planning, coaching, and mentoring. Isibani Educational Empowerment helps pupils, especially from rural areas, improve their Grade 12 marks to qualify for tertiary intake. Khumalo says the SoulMe Movement is a human rights body that facilitates dialogues, events and conferences to benefit girls, adolescents, young widows, and LGBTQ+ groups. Khumalo has a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree, Honours and a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
