AweWorks, founder and CEO
Carmen Snyders’s journey took a profound turn when her son was diagnosed with autism in 2019. As if that was not enough, she was retrenched in 2020, resulting in her being unemployed, but she has since devoted her life to creating changes.
Her organisation, AweWorks is her brainchild, which was set up to support families with newly diagnosed loved ones. She creates inclusive opportunities for socialisation and growth, challenging societal exclusion.
The purpose of this learning centre in her community is to foster inclusivity and equal opportunities.
