Black Coffee send-off party an unforgettable affair
Altitude Beach in Fourways was the place to be for Black Coffee’s send-off party last Thursday, ahead of his historic show at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The media conference was hosted by actor Lawrence Maleka and DJ Sabby. Shwa almost did not recognise DJ Sabby because I don’t recall the guy officially introducing himself to the attendees, or was Shwa a bit preoccupied at the time?
It was an unforgettable evening of music, culture and celebration. I don’t even want to mention the performances, which were nothing short of extraordinary.
DJ Stopper, Uncle |Partytime, Kitchen Mess, Thakzin, Murumba Pitch and Black Coffee himself, featuring Bucie, Shoba, Pansula, Ribatone, Msaki, Mondli Ngcobo and DJ Que, graced the stage with mesmerising performances.
Shwa is not really convinced that Msaki is really on a break with regards to music. Baby girl, just forget about quitting. We understand you were going through an emotional stage in your life.
Clearly Black Coffee has a soft spot for his brother-in-law DJ Que for giving him a chance to perform at his send-off party. DJ Que, you better not hurt Amanda because Shwa knows you and your shenanigans.
Shwa spotted Mzansi’s ‘favourite loved up couple’ Liesl and Musa Mthombeni. Not quite sure what they were doing at the event, or is it because they love things?
Duo Blaq Diamond was also at the event, and it seemed it is socialising more these days after sorting out its legal battles with Ambitious Entertainment. Shwa would like to commend you two for taking on that record label.
Renowned artists, A-list actors, and influencers alike came together to celebrate the momentous occasion, transforming it into a star-studded soirée.
Some other celebrities that Shwa spotted at the event were Robert Glasper, Nhlanhla Mafu, TK Dlamini, Busiswa, Thabang Molaba, Mpho Sibeko, Mordah Bongz, Mome and Andile Dlamini (Banyana Banyana former captain).
