Judge’s comment in contempt of court
Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng, presiding over the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, should be ashamed of himself for making denigrating comments about black lawyers.
This is unbecoming of a high court judge. This week Mokgoatlheng expressed his disappointment over the conduct of counsel for accused number one and two. Yes, the judge apologised but he was in contempt of court. His apology is dismissed with costs to his reputation.
