Sis Bee’s golden touch
If you think actress Thembsie Matu’s life is confined to entertainment then you are off the mark. She is known as Sis Bee in Rhythm City and Petronella in The Queen, the flamboyant actress is as equally exciting. She is a bundle of joy in church circles concerned about all life: the present as well as the hereafter.
Such attributes are rare. Small wonder she is such a beloved daughter of Africa. Shwa saw this revelation in action at the Parish Church of Saint Stephen the Martyr in Thokoza on Sunday.
There she was, in a church’s pre-funding jamboree, urging the faithful to donate as generously as they can as they seek to build their church and community centre. “You cannot expect outsiders to donate generously when you don’t. Come in your numbers to the fund-raising; bring your friends, the whole community, to support this community-church initiative. And then followed a standing ovation. “We love you Sis Bee.”
