The Safa congress went ahead as planned at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg last Saturday.
It was rather a little disturbing the way some national executive committee (NEC) members and provincial representatives carried themselves.
Some of them, old enough to be Shwa’s grandfathers, acted like a bunch of groupies and bombarded the visibly exasperated president Danny Jordaan with selfies and photo requests.
The guys from Northern Cape were the biggest culprits – they even disturbed a media briefing with a picture request as they flashed fresh Colgate smiles bigger than the Kalahari, alongside Jordaan.
