The end of an era has dawned as 012 Lifestyle, a popular food establishment in Pretoria, announced that it is closing its doors.
In a statement on Wednesday, the management of the pub state that they have decided to stop operations at the establishment’s Brooklyn branch.
Management said the decision to close is due to unforeseen circumstances and challenges that have risen and left them with no option but to close shop.
“It is with a heavy heart that we are writing to inform you of the closure of 012 Lifestyle Brooklyn. It has been a difficult decision,” reads the statement.
Management added that attempts were made to overcome the obstacles and to keep the boat afloat, however, more challenges affected the financial stability of the business.
“Despite our best efforts to overcome the obstacles we faced, the impact of these challenges on our financial stability and ability to serve you with the utmost quality and care has forced us to make this difficult decision,” said management.
Seamless exit promised
The management of 012 Lifestyle in Brooklyn apologised to loyal customers of the establishment and promised a seamless exit.
It said: “We deeply apologise for any inconvenience caused. It is our aim to provide a seamless exit for our valued customers.
“We want to express our sincere gratitude for your loyal patronage and support over the years. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to have served you and the trust you have placed in us.
“We are truly grateful for the relationships we have built with each and every one of you.”
Known for best African cuisines, the restaurant operates seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to customers.
The establishment has hosted a number of South African celebrities and entertainers including SA Idols judge and self-taught chef Somizi Mhlongo.
