The Mzansi Act Now, Disoufeng Pub and Restaurant, Edward Billion Foundation, Lunakho Production and Staging, and Gogo Maweni are collaborating to put together a benefit concert for Gogo Kenaope Mosidi.
The 110-year-old Mosidi trended on social media after a video of her eviction from her home in Meadowlands, Soweto last week went viral. In the video, the old woman can be seen being frog-marched out of her house by the new owner.

Mzansi Act Now has since expressed disappointment over the manner in which Mosidi was evicted from the property she occupied for many years. She now finds herself homeless.
A number of civil society organisations have clubbed together to raise funds for the grandmother. Gogo’s Benefit Concert will take place on October 22 at Disoufeng Pub and Restaurant in Meadowlands, and South Africans can contribute by buying tickets for the concert at Computicket outlets.
Attendance at the concert will be unlimited and those who cannot make it to the venue will be able to join virtually.
